Muscle Relief Tips

Well, today was my breaking point... the day I desperately had to go and get a massage for my awful headache (why did I let it get to this level?) I had allowed my stress and anxiety to burrow into my neck, shoulders and back - and get way too comfortable there. Anyway... I had an amazing massage at Spa Habitat from Kelli, who worked on all of my knots and gave me my aftercare instructions, which included all of the Clovertree products that I have created over the years. A humbling reminder that I have not been following my own advice! So.... down the hatch went several glasses of water, and into the Jacuzzi tub I submerged.

Based on following Kelli's instructions, my headache had subsided and I felt like a wet noodle! And, yes, I'm reminded I should get regular massages to prevent this from happening again... and go back two or three more times in the next couple of weeks for more massage because my knots are so large and so deep...  :-((( yay me!!

After my experience today, I thought that I should share my secrets with you all once again. Because I know there are many others out there, who just like me, are doing too much and not taking time for themselves. So, here goes:

My recommendations for high stress, anxiety, muscle tension, and/or headaches:

1. Schedule a massage at a local spa with someone who understands the musculature of the body and can recognize imbalances and where all those crazy knots are!! 
2. Request hot stones be used in your massage treatment, if possible, to help relax the deep muscle tissue. 
3. Relax! And don't be afraid to tell your massage therapist if the pressure is too deep or too light. 
4. After the massage, go home and take a warm bath for 20-30 minutes with the following Clovertree products: 

• 1 cup of Muscle Relief Bath Salts
• 2 droppers full of Arnica Therapy Oil
• 2 droppers full of St. John's Wort Therapy Oil

5. While bathing, gently massage sore shoulder and neck muscles to loosen tight muscle tissue and release toxin build up - the purpose of the bath is DETOX and to help prevent soreness after a massage, so make sure that the bath water is warm, you've included bath salts, and you remain in the bath for 20-30 minutes.

6. After the bath, apply Muscle Relief Balm to sore muscle areas, and get dressed into light weight clothing. 
7. Apply a heat pack over your shoulders or over the affected sore muscle area for 20 minutes. You can repeat this step at bedtime as well and the next few days as needed. I recommend Sonoma Lavender for herbal neck wraps:

8. Drink some chamomile tea before bed for further relaxation. It works wonders! I personally love Choice Organic Teas: 

*Note: for extremely tense/knotted muscle tissue, repeat the bath, muscle balm and heat pack nightly.

a new journey

When I started Clovertree 2 years ago, I never dreamed that it would grow as rapidly as it has. It has been a lot of hard work : research, development, creative design, marketing, etc. We are now found in may retail locations across the country and have a new home in 9 Whole Foods Markets across the state of Texas. I couldn't have done any of this without my husband, who helps me with creative design and marketing, my friend Deann Jacobs, who introduced me to Whole Foods in the first place, and my staff at all the Spa Habitat locations who continue to give me honest and helpful feedback on all the Clovertree products. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone involved in creating and promoting Clovertree! We are blessed and thankful this holiday season!

With the end of year approaching quickly, I’m reminded of how blessed we have been this year as a company. We have many new retail partners including Terra Organic Spa, Beautyhabit.com, Spa Al Mare in Key West, Browbar in Atlanta, Tru Beauty in Hobbs, NM, and Cooper Spa in McKinney, TX, not to mention the tremendous growth we’ve seen in our Spa Habitat locations in Texas and Oklahoma. We are so excited about these partnerships and about the excitement that is growing over the Clovertree line!

We visited Ft. Lauderdale, FL in November and exhibited at the IECSC Convention. It was a great experience. I had a super creative colleague who attended with me and crafted the booth artwork by hand. Here are a couple of pictures of our booth:The backdrop of our booth was a screen made out of organic pipe cleaners in the shapes of peace, love, & beauty (peace sign, heart and flower). It was absolutely beautiful and attracted a lot of people. We had a few even offer to buy the screen right out of our booth! It was nice to display and demonstrate our brand to many Floridians who had never heard of us!
We also launched several new products this year… liquid facial cleansers, treatment sprays, and a firming eye cream, along with a mom and baby butter, and a new scent for our body collection: neroli blossom.
